Fotofolio, a history of Dutch magazine photography is the first exhibition of The Gallery Club, with photos by C. Barton van Flymen, Bart van Leeuwen, Bart Nieuwenhuijs, Boudewijn Neuteboom and Peter van der Velde. From the sixties until the nineties, Dutch magazine photography reached its absolute hight, which could even be considered as an actual photography culture. Together these photographers represent forty years of Dutch magazine photography, which gives a unique image of time and the special observation of five different photographers.

Dutch magazines like Avenue, Elegance and Nieuwe Revu were all well known for hiring top Dutch photographers for their fashion, beauty, travel, sports, journalism and human interest reports. With high budgets being available for the photo shoots the results shown in the exhibition are classic, timeless and fascinating. They can transport you to a different time era, but still feel very familiar.

The photos shown in this exhibition were especially printed for the exhibition Framed in Print in Foam in 2013 and therefore unique prints for a special price. The Gallery Club made a new selection of the photos and now offers them for sale.
